Fire Cue Restaurant | Gold Coast

Restaurateur and Chef, Adam grew up in Rockhampton and after finishing high school moved to the Gold Coast to study his cooking apprenticeship, and on completion moved to Sydney as a chef for the Hugo’s Group, which Pete Evans and Manu Fiedel are well known for.

Always travelling and looking for new experiences, Adam moved to London to be part of the opening team for Jamie Oliver’s ‘Restaurant 15’ training the original 15 students, which were part of ‘Jamies’ Kitchen’ TV series, then from there looking for a cultural change moved over to Michelin Star Restaurant Nobu Mayfair, rated in the top 10 best restaurants in the world at the time. Not much after Adam worked as a consultant and free-lance chef through Europe. Eventually settling back in London creating his first catering company.

Since then Adam has worked all around the world in high end events, opening his own award-winning restaurants and catering companies and also as a consultant for various Australian and international groups. Adam has worked on many well publicised events and catered for many celebrities world-wide.
Having experienced so many cuisines Adam is a very universal chef who is inspired to keep evolving with his culinary knowledge and keeping up with current trends of modern uncomplicated, fresh and flavorsome food.

In 2013 Adam moved to Bali to open his first restaurant Barbacoa Bali which was awarded Best Restaurant Bali 2014, Best Mexican Restaurant 2014, rated by Tatler and Forbes magazine top restaurant Indonesia 2015. In 2016 Adam opened Fire Cue Bar & Grill, which was nominated in the TOP 100 restaurants Qld, having sold the Fire Cue Restaurant, Adam has created Fire Cue Catering, and also consults, having opened
restaurants in Tulum, Mexico late last year and also 200 seat White Rhino on the Gold Coast. Adam teamed up with the San Telmo Group for their event at the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival 2019.
Adams style over the past 5 years has been heavily influenced with fire and charcoal, creative bbq techniques with a combination of South America and Australian flavours. This style is represented on Adams’ Instagram page @theaussiegaucho , and also @fire_cue.

Adam currently lives between the Gold Coast and Bondi Beach, Sydney with his wife and Children with much more travelling and cooking planned.
