Farmer Meets Foodie Special Edition Chef’s Table

Friday 27 September from 5.30pm | Fitroy Basin Association Flow Centre 80 East St, Rockhampton

Join us for a unique experience of sharing locally-sourced food with the producers.  This special edition Chef’s Table experience begins with a panel discussion at the Fitzroy Basin Association’s Flow Centre; a fantastic opportunity for both local producers and foodies to meet and connect. Hear their stories while learning about the wonderful bounty from our region.

Then head down to the Festival Grounds where Chef’s Glen Barratt (Wild Canary) and Nicole Stevenson (Wild Canary, MasterChef Australia) create a locally inspired dish for you to enjoy using the freshest produce direct from the farms – perfectly matched with a glass of fine wine.

5.30pm – 6.30pm | FBA Flow Centre Panel discussion with local producers

6.45pm – 7.00pm | Take a short walk to the Festival Grounds Chef’s Table Marquee

7.00pm – 8.30pm | Enjoy an interactive cooking demonstration with Glen Barratt and Nicole Stevenson as they prepare a dish for you to enjoy using local produce, paired with a glass of matching wine.

Important Information:

Please arrive by 5.30pm at the Fitroy Basin Association Flow Centre – 80 East Street, Rockhampton.

After the discussion there will be a short 200m walk to the Festival Grounds on Quay Street where you will be escorted to the Chef’s Table marquee for the cooking demonstration and meal. Please advise staff if you will have any trouble walking between the locations.

Due to the nature and location of this event, we will not be able to cater for any dietary requirements.

Please note the Festival is a cashless event – you will need a debit or credit card with Visa/Mastercard logo to purchase drinks and food within the grounds.
