Chef Roel Van Camp

Originally from Brussels, Roel mastered his technical culinary artistry working in acclaimed restaurants in Europe and Asia, self-taught and under the guidance of world class Chefs for five years before moving to Australia in 2011.

With a focus on creating dishes utilising the local region’s fresh produce speaks to Roel’s most treasured food experiences.

Roel has created his own style of cuisine with his passion for different food cultures from around the world – a food blogger once described his food as a contemporary cuisine with Australian and Japanese influences.

He has worked alongside Chefs such as Ben Williamson and Adrian Richardson, but the ticket everyone wants their hands on is to one of Roel’s private Amuse pop up dinners.

A chef with a love of speaking and sharing his knowledge of food we are thrilled to welcome Roel back to the Capricorn Food and Wine Festival and cannot wait for him to Amuse us with his bespoke culinary experiences.
