Growing up in Perth Western Australia, Ben completed his apprenticeship and quickly left for oversees cooking and traveling his way round the UK, Canada and New Zealand.
It wasn’t until returning to Australia and finding the last position at Longrain Melbourne’s start up team that he found his desire in food, cooking over charcoal and Thai food.
Learning as much as he could from Martin Boetz over two years he took that knowledge and headed north to the Spirit House, Yandina. It was here his different way of approaching Thai developed. Six years flew by and the offer of something in Brisbane beckoned.
A partnership and Head Chef of LONgTIME the place ben has called home for the last five years and showing Brisbane his style of Thai food.
